Fast-paced jungle music and other-worldy sounds for Jack Maschka’s hi-vis hyper-short Seed Supreme.
An adventuring staff-wielding, juvenile races for the highly coveted space seed that gives unimaginable strength and mysterious magical powers.
In Jack’s first, flattering message to us, he revealed that Skillbard had been in his mind during the production of Seed Supreme; our playful high-impact sonic world-building seemed to have struck a nerve with him.
“I've been thinking about you guys for audio the entire time”

Musical Identities
We developed two distinct musical identities, rooted in classic jungle breaks, to represent the film’s main characters. These sonic signatures lead the score whenever their counterparts dominated the narrative.
The Funky Drummer break feels clean and good-guyish to us, so we made something similar for our red protagonist’s motif.
The bad guy, with his purple dreadlockesque tendrils, seemed to require more of an early jungle angle, so we created a soundalike of the omnipresent Amen Break and coupled it with some vocal hits from a '90s jungle sample pack.
Sleng Teng Riddim
Further invoking the rich story of dub, jungle and drum n bass music, we harked back to another trope in its origin story; the Sleng Teng Riddim—with its heavy downbeat and plodding, club-footed groove—is heard when our victor ingests the Seed and blows up to monstrous portions. Not such a god guy after all.
